About

Jenelle, Lo, and Michaela are the girls in boots.  They are Bay Area-based friends who design a line of tees for Thriving Ink.

On this site they post their favorite finds in fashion, art, pop culture, food, entertainment, music, design of all kinds, and whatever else inspires or excites them.  Their collective interests include, but are not limited to: Thriving Ink, style bloggers, Lady Gaga, Etsy, vintage things, cooking, dark comedy, grammar, shoes, photography, dogs, blazers, tea, Nick Thune, TMZ, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, traveling, Harry Potter, fedoras, making fun of Twilight, and boots.

At 22, JENELLE is a partner of Thriving Ink.  She holds Martha Stewart in high esteem and knows the value of good music.  She has a few gorgeous tattoos and an appreciation for great packaging.  She’s the proud mommy of Ruby, a Terrier-Chihuahua puppy.  While she will not laugh if you trip and eat it in front of her, she does have a pretty mean brand of sarcasm.  She also blogs here (and tweets here).

LO, a former film student, is a screenwriter and Thriving Ink blogger.  She writes things all over the internet, like here and here.   She is bookworm-y, film nerdy, and caffeine-dependent.  She also geeks out over design, gender, theology and television.  She loves LA even though she knows you’re not supposed to love LA.  She tweets here.

MICHAELA, aka Mac Bammer, Bam Bam, or MacBook Pro, is the baby of the group.  The stylist has Rapunzel-status hair, a bangin’ wardrobe, and plenty of attitude to match.  Her expertise in fashion is founded on things like an extensive background in managing boutiques, watching “The Rachel Zoe Project” way too much, and going to market.  Multiple times.  As a teenager.  She’s hot.
